Find Kofi and get a café

In Animal Crossing: New Horizons 2.0 you can unlock your own café in the museum and have to look for Kofi, who should start his job as the operator of the café Taubenschlag. Here you can find out what you need to consider and what rewards you get from Kofi for drinking coffee.

Find Kofi and unlock Café

If you have installed Update 2.0 and want to build the new café right away, first go to the museum and speak to director Eugen. He would like to open a museum café in the upper west wing, but is not very familiar with restaurants. You should therefore be his old friend Find Kofi and Eugen gives you a photo of him for it.

Eugen isn’t talking about Kofi? If Eugen still doesn’t talk to you about Kofi despite the update being installed, your progress in the museum may not be enough. Make sure you have caught at least one fish, one insect, one fossil and one marine animal and donate to Eugen in the museum. This should help.

Eugen tells you that you should start your search for Kofi on the islands to which the captain takes you every day on his boat tour. Here you can also find the gyroids, which Kofi is very interested in. So speak to the captain at the pier and pay the nook miles for a boat tour. Once on the island, you can find Kofi here and talk to him.

Kofi is not coming? Kofi only appears on the island if you have spoken to Eugen beforehand. So make sure you talk to him first before you start the bot tour. This can only be done once a day. Be sure to observe these requirements.

After talking to Kofi, you can return to Eugen and tell him that you have found Kofi. Eugen is looking forward to him and the construction of the café begins. One day later, the museum is under renovation and you cannot enter it. The next day the museum is open again and the café has also opened. You can find it when you walk up the stairs on the left.

Drink coffee and get items from Kofi

For the daily drunk of caffeine, you will receive various rewards at Kofi in the museum café. If you order a coffee every day, Kofi will gradually give you new items. You can find out exactly which ones from the following list:

• Drink coffee 15 times: Cup and saucer
• Drink coffee 20 times: Coffee plant
• Drink coffee 30 times: siphon

Invite players, residents and amiibos to the café

In Café Taubenschlag you don’t have to sip your coffee alone, from time to time other residents and island staff appear in the café with whom you can drink together. In addition, other players who visit your island via the online mode can enter your café without any obstacles.

There is also a striking yellow amiibo machine on the left in the café. You can use this to activate amiibo cards and figures and thus invite new visitors to the café. Depending on the amiibo, these appear alone or in company. The following Amiibos are compatible:
