Gmail for Android gets handy search filters

Searching for a specific mail can sometimes become a time-consuming task with a full mailbox. Gmail for Android is now getting handy improvements with new search filters, Google has announced.

If you now use the search function in Gmail, it can sometimes be a long search for that one email you are looking for. For example, if you specifically search for an attachment, or within a certain time frame. Only the search for keywords is possible. It is good to see that Google has now realized this. Improvements are coming to the search function found in Gmail’s Android app.

Gmail for Android gets search filters, which further improves the search for emails. With the new search filters you can search within a certain period or search for a specific date. Another option is to search specifically for emails to specific people or whether an attachment must be present.

The first users to use Gmail’s new search filters are those with Google Workspace, G Suite Basic, and G Suite Business. After that, they will be rolled out more widely.
