Successful Czech video games -apkrig are presented in Tokyo

After Czech athletes in Tokyo, our country is also represented by Czech games. The unique interactive exhibition Czech Game Show in Tokyo has started here. It will present a selection of various works and authors of the Czech video game scene in Japan, who have been making a good name for us in this field abroad for many years.

The exhibition runs from 15 September to 15 October and can be found in the gallery of the Czech Center at the Embassy of the Czech Republic, where those interested can also play games. A total of six studies exhibit their titles here. The biggest representative is Amanita Design, which has Machinarium, Samorost 3, Creaks and the Happy Game being developed. We are also represented by the Madfinger Games studio with its mobile games Shadowgun Legends, Dead Trigger 2 and Monzo VR virtual reality model building.

Charles Games show Attentat 1942 and recent Freedom 1945. After one title, Warhorse Studios with Kingdom Come: Deliverance, which is very popular in Japan thanks to the complete Japanese localization including dubbing, CBE Software with Someday You’ll Return and GoldKnights with The Last Oric in progress.

But what kind of exhibition would it be if it all lacked some overlap. Computers and monitors are complemented by various illustrations and concept art, or even physical copies and collector’s editions. The exhibition is even accompanied by musical motifs from some of the exhibited games. In addition, the event is framed by a timeline that briefly summarizes Czech games from 1985 to the present.

From September 30 to October 3, the Tokyo Game Show 2021 will also take place in Japan, which will be attended by some of the studios represented here, namely CBE Software, Madfinger Games, Amanita Design and GoldKnights. The exhibition was prepared as part of the Year of Czech Science, Education and Innovation in Japan and was attended not only by the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Tokyo, the Czech Tokyo Center and the CzechInvest agency, but also by DMM GAMES (Japanese game distributor) and MSI Japan.
