Xiaomi is known for its crazy promotions. When it comes to a new product, however, the Chinese outdo themselves. Here, buyers should determine the price themselves. Payment is not only made with money, but also with likes.

“Good quality at low prices” – that’s how you could sum up Xiaomi’s sales strategy. In order for this to work, potential buyers must first be made aware of the low prices. Here the group often uses unusual advertising campaigns. The latest example is the Redmi Buds 3 Pro.

The true wireless headphones are celebrating their market launch in Germany and are available for 69.99 euros. The already low price is even lower: The AirPods alternative will be available from August 25th available for 48 hours in Xiaomi’s online shop (to the online shop) at the so-called “Early Bird” price. Potential buyers can decide for themselves how high it turns out – with their likes.

From 2,999 likes, the Redmi Buds 3 Pro only cost 64.99 euros, from 5,999 likes only 59.99 euros. The more people participate, the lower the price will fall. Ideally, the community can work together to lower the price by 10 euros. After the campaign, buyers have to pay the RRP of 69.99 euros for the Xiaomi headphones again.

According to the manufacturer, the Redmi Buds 3 Pro itself offers a runtime of 6 hours. Taking into account the charging case is even a total runtime of 28 hours inside. Thanks to Fast Charge, 10 minutes should be enough to allow 3 hours of music playback. The Xiaomi headphones can be charged via USB C and wirelessly. Active noise suppression, a transparency mode and IPX4 water protection are also included.

Note: An earlier version of the article said the early bird promotion would start on August 23rd. That was a mistake in the Xiaomi press release. The campaign starts on August 25th.
