Google is expanding its tasks app Google Tasks with favorites function

The range of task apps for Android is considerable. Since 2018, you can use Google’s own tasks app; Google Tasks. More new features have been added over the years, and now it’s time for a handy Favorites feature.

Favorites in Google Tasks

XDA’s colleagues have stumbled upon a new useful feature for the Google Tasks app for Android. In a future version it will be possible to mark a task as a favorite. This makes it possible to pin a task to the top of the screen. You will therefore be the first to see this; useful when you have an important task to do that should not be overlooked. A task can be added to favorites by giving it a star.

The starred tasks are not only added at the top of the screen. For quick overview, these are also added to a special tab called ‘Starred’. This can be recognized by the star icon at the top of the Google Tasks app. For now it is not known when the functionality will be added to the app.
