IPhone 12 Pro Max loses photo blind test against several Android smartphones
As usual, the famous YouTuber Marques Brownlee (MKBHD for close friends) carried out a photo blind test opposing the iPhone 12 Pro Max and the iPhone SE 2020 to several Android devices (Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, Pixel 5 , Huawei Mate 40 Pro, Oppo OnePlus 8T, Moto Edge +, etc.). And once is not customary, the iPhone 12 Pro Max and SE finished dead last in this blind test. If we trust the many comments, Internet users mainly blame the iPhone 12 Pro Max for being a little too overexposed (and turning a bit blue).

Regarding the drift on the blue and the global calibration of the scene (which result from the processing of the iSP), Apple could undoubtedly improve the overall rendering via a “simple” update. This empirical test probably does not have absolute truth value, but it could play a role when choosing a photophone.
