Black Myth: Wukong – -apkrig
It has been more than a year since the Chinese studio Game Science released the first shots of the upcoming action RPG Black Myth: Wu Kong, and his reaction was astonished admiration. Now the game claims attention again and again does so in style.
The authors switched from the original Unreal Engine 4 to the fifth generation and in twelve minutes of footage (we really recommend you take a look) show how magnificent their project now looks. At the same time, according to Nvidia, this is the very first look at the use of DLSS technology in the game, which runs on the new engine from Epic.
In the generous game demonstration, you can enjoy an incredible amount of detail and smooth animations, but at the same time it seems that there is a potentially great game hidden under all this technological tinsel. Black Myth offers a story based on the myth of the monkey king, which my peers can remember from a crazy Chinese series that ran in our country in the early 90’s.
At the same time, the authors also took obvious inspiration from last year’s Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice by FromSoftware, and the duel with the stick are reminiscent of the older forgotten action adventure Enslaved: Odyssey to the West, also inspired by Chinese mythology. There will obviously be no shortage of beautiful-looking but demanding bosses, the electrifying dragon on a frozen lake is one of the most majestic monsters I have ever seen.
Game Science Studio consists of former developers who worked for the giant Tencent. Black Myth: Wu Kong doesn’t have an approximate release date yet, last year the authors expressed the hope that they would like to bring the game to a PC and console in 2023. If all goes well, this could be another of the few cases of Chinese games that have achieved global success.
