Nokia 5.3 gets Android 11 now before the release of Android 12
The American giant Google introduced a stable version of Android 11 on September 8, 2020. At that time, Nokia 5.3 was on the market for six months. Many expected the update on Android 11 to arrive a few weeks to months after its release, but users remained disappointed. This Android 11 has only arrived on your smartphone now. The Android Police web portal informs about it. But still better, as if Nokia 5.3 didn’t get it at all.
Nokia 5.3 and an extremely delayed update on Android 11
For devices that are included with Android One, it is usually the case that updates should be purchased at best every month. However, the manufacturer HMD Global has somehow forgotten and the stable Android 11 gets their Nokia 5.3 model only in this period. Delays can also be caused by a global pandemic.
The first wave of updates is spreading from the east. The people of Asia have already received notifications about the availability of the update. It has 1.67 GB and comes with a June level of security patches. Nokia 5.3 is one of the better devices from the company’s workshop, so it is quite a pity that Android 11 users did not see it much earlier. We’ll see how long it takes HMD Global to bring Android 12, which is just around the corner.
Updates on Android smartphones have been here, are and always will be. This is evidenced, for example, by the OnePlus Nord 2 5G, the update of which brings several significant improvements. Fortunately, POCO X3 already has Android 11 for some time. The current flagship model line of the South Korean giant Samsung, Galaxy S21, recently received August updates.
