Realme Flash will be the world’s first magnetic wireless charger
As you may have noticed, we will see new smartphones sometime between January and March. After a few months break, other events usually take place from August to October. On the Weibo social network, Realme announced that it is developing a technology of wireless magnetic charging. This is the first similar charging principle used in Android devices. The GizChina web portal has published a few known things about this charging technology called Realme Flash.
Realme Flash will try to mimic an existing type of wireless charging
As you can see in the picture in the post, Realme Flash will consist of a circular device inside the smartphone. The inspiration is probably clear to almost everyone. The iPhone 12 series is characterized by something similar. There should therefore be magnets around the coil, which will hold the wireless charger with the magnetic force.
This is a more convenient form of charging, because once the charging surface is attached to the phone, you can charge the phone wirelessly while holding it in your hand. On the other hand, you will still depend on the length of the connected cable. However, the magnet not only brings with it an advantage in the form of better solved wireless charging. As with the iPhone 12 series, you can attach a supported magnetic accessory to the back.
The chargers come in two versions. Compared to Magsafe, it will be a big leap in performance
As for charging power, we can allegedly look forward to up to 50 W wireless charging. At the same time, it would be the fastest magnetic wireless charging in the world. Well, let’s face it, there isn’t much competition at the moment. For comparison, we mention that Magsafe on the new iPhones only reaches a maximum of 10 W, and in practice this power is even lower.
The basic Realme Flash charger will reach 15 W, but a model supporting a fast form of charging should also be available. A weaker charger will be much thinner compared to a more powerful one. The all-metal body of the charger is necessary for efficient heat dissipation from its surface. Effective charging speeds should be provided with an integrated fan for the faster charger.
Realme Flash comes with support for other magnetic accessories, such as car mounts. The upcoming smartphone with the support of magnetic wireless charging should bring top parameters. There will be a so-called “hole-punch” cutout on the front.
Under the hood we find the Snapdragon 888 chipset. It is the most powerful processor from the workshop of the American giant Qualcomm. The chip company will make up to 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage. The charging and data connector type USB-C is a matter of course. The operating system will be Android 11 with the Realme UI 2.0 user extension.
