Google provides Android TV with new functions, which we know from Google TV

If you own a television with Android TV, you can expect new functions from now on. Google is now making an update available for the platform, in which the innovations are added.

Android TV with new features

Google rolls out improvements for Android TV. After the new update, you as a user will have access to watch lists. We already know this functionality from Google TV. With watchlists you can add videos that you want to watch at a later time. The watch list is housed in the Discover tab in Android TV. By holding down a title you can add it to your list.

Furthermore, Android TV is provided with maps that give you recommendations. To indicate to Google whether or not a title suits you, you can give a thumbs up or down. In this way, Google can present appropriate results. You can also find these in the Discover tab. Another improvement can be found on the detail page of a title. Trailers can be played automatically.

Starting this week, the distribution of the update for Android TV will start.
