’14- and 16-inch MacBook Pros with new design will appear in September’
We’ve been waiting for it for a while, but the 2021 MacBook Pro now seems to have a concrete release month. A new rumor offers more concrete information.
Read on after the ad.
MacBook Pro 2021 unveiled in September
The rumor about the new MacBook Pro comes from Digitimes, a well-known when it comes to Apple rumors. The website states that the 2021 MacBook Pro will be unveiled “by the end of the third quarter.” The third quarter runs from July through September, making it likely that the new Macs will be unveiled at the end of September.
After this presentation, it will probably take a few weeks for the new laptop to hit the stores. So count on a release in mid-October.
This ties in with another rumor from Apple expert Mark Gurman, who claims based on his sources that Apple has no other major product announcements planned until the iPhone 13 announcement in September.
A new design for the first time in years
The MacBook Pro would introduce a new design for the first time since 2016. After last year’s iPhone 12 and 2018’s iPad Pro, the MacBook would also move to a harder-edged and more angular design.
The MacBook would also get more connections than just USB-C. Among other things, HDMI and an SD card reader would be present as standard. In addition, the Mac is the first to run on the M2 chip, the second generation of Apple’s proprietary processor. Want to know more about what to expect from this new MacBook Pro?
