Android 12 was officially announced at Google I/O in May after developer versions were released earlier. We have now arrived at the beta versions, with Google preparing for the final version. Android 12 is now also in development for the Galaxy S21 series.

Development Android 12 for Galaxy S21 series

Samsung will roll out the update to Android 12 for a lot of devices. This became clear with our Android 12 Update Overview. Here you can see exactly for which devices the update to the new Android version will be available. Manufacturers will slowly start optimizing the update for their devices. So is Samsung, as is now clear.

according to Max Winebach Samsung has started developing Android 12 for the devices from the Galaxy S21 series. To be specific; so for the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 Ultra. It may just be that Samsung has finished the final update to Android 12 earlier. For the Galaxy S20 series, Samsung started developing Android 11 at the end of July. The update then appeared in the Netherlands in mid-December. If we continue this line, it may just be that Samsung can roll out the final update to Android 12 to the Galaxy S20 series in November.

There is a possibility that Samsung wants to collect more feedback and start a beta program. Previously, beta programs were not available in the Netherlands and it is unclear whether that will change. In addition to Android 12, Samsung will also roll out One UI 4. According to some media, images of this were recently shared, but these are said to be fake.
