Sony acknowledges the replacement of Japan Studios by Team Asobi … with a new logo
The Asobi team therefore becomes the studio Team Asobi, and thus becomes de facto THE Japanese studio of Sony. For the occasion, Team Asobi unveils its new logo, preceded of course by the small robot Astro. Nicolas Doucet, the head of the studio, lent himself to the game of the usual presentations with a long press release posted on Twitter. The French designer recalls in passing that the word Asobi literally means “to play” in Japanese.

Team Asobi will not go it alone in Japan, and will keep in particular privileged links with From Software (the saga of Souls). Despite everything, the dumping of the historic studios of Japan Studios always leaves a slight bitter taste. Astrobot is certainly great on PSVR (and its sequel will undoubtedly be just as great on PSVR 2), but will we once again have a PS5 game as original and touching as the superb The Last Guardian?
