HP launches Specter x360 15 with OLED screen
In the past few years, both Lenovo and HP have launched some laptops with OLED screens, especially in the 13-inch range. However, the high panel price has so far prevented the breakthrough on the mass market for premium notebooks. HP is now trying the Specter x360 15 again. The 15.6-inch laptop is the first in this size class to be equipped with an OLED screen, according to HP.

HP leaves buyers of the Specter x360 15 a choice. A model with LCD screen (4K-IPS) has been on the market for a few weeks now. The 15.6-incher comes with a hexagonal Intel Core i7 processor of the 8th generation (2.2 to 4.1 gigahertz), GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card and 16 gigabyte work and two terabytes of SSD -Storage. The 84-watt-hour battery will last around 16 hours and can be charged at 50 percent in 30 minutes.
For the OLED version, which will be available from March, HP has yet to reveal any technical details. What is clear so far is that the OLED screen offers HDR support, as The Verge reports. The AMOLED panel is to be produced by Samsung. In addition, the battery life of the notebook could rise slightly compared to the LCD variant due to the OLED use. More is not yet known.

Then the Specter x360 15 with OLED screen would cost around 2,600 euros. But it is also possible that HP demands a few euros more because of the higher price of the OLED panel.
