Huawei Mate X2, folding phone for the price of a cheap used car
Huawei has officially introduced the Mate X2, its third folding smartphone. The phone has a very similar design to the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2. What did Huawei prepare, and how is the phone different from Samsung? The new Mate X2 has a major 8-inch OLED display with resolution 2480 x 2220, a touch sampling frequency of 180 Hz (how many times the screen can refresh itself and register the user’s touch input per second), and refresh rate 90 Hz. Secondary display offers 6.45 inch display with the same refresh rate 90 Hz and a higher 240 Hz touch sampling frequency.
The Mate X2 folding phone offers the performance of a chipset Kirin 9000 (5G support) to accompany 8 GB RAM and 256 or 512 GB of storage. The battery is about capacity 4 400 mAh s fast charging about maximum speed 55 W. The main screen boasts the first “magnetically controlled nano optical layer”. Which is actually the way Huawei wants to say that it minimizes the reflection of light from the display (reflectivity is below 1.5%, compared to 5% for the Galaxy Z Fold2). The design of the hinge that connects the screens allows you to close the phone seamlessly (without any gap between the displays, see photos). The weight of the whole phone is 295 g. What about the camera?

The company was working on the camera again Leica. These are four cameras, 3 of which offer optical stabilization. Huawei has officially introduced the Mate X2 as a folding phone, but according to the parameters it is also a handy photo phone. Rear camera specifications:
- Main camera 50MPx with f / 1.9 aperture and 4K recording support
- 16MPx wide-angle camera, photo available from a distance of 2.5 cm and luminosity f / 2.2
- 3 × zoom lens with resolution 12MPx and aperture f / 2.4
- SuperZoom sf / 4.4 lens and 8 MPx sensor that offers up to 100x digital zoom
Huawei officially introduced the Mate X2 really recently, but we already know that it will be in China available from February 25. It will be available online and in stone shops. Unfortunately, we do not yet have information on whether the phone will be available outside of China. The price of the phone itself will be around CZK 63,000.
