Will Android 12 come with one-handed control mode?

Many may have encountered the one-handed operation mode. Most manufacturers have had it in their superstructures for a long time, but not Google in pure Android. That should change with the advent of Android 12. Google came to the party a little late, but better than never, right?

XDA has information that Google is working to incorporate one-handed control mode into AOSP, a pure Android. This will help manufacturers unify their one-handed control mode with the official one from Google. This will allow them to decide whether to use their own or one from Google. It is also an advantage for those manufacturers who have not yet incorporated this scheme into their superstructure. It is also unclear whether Google will require manufacturers to implement a one-handed smartphone control solution.

What we do know so far is, for example, that a solution from Google will reduce the screen to 40% of its original size. The mode can be activated with a classic three-button combination or a new gesture. This mode will be included in the Gestures section of Settings, which makes sense as it is a gesture by dragging the navigation bar.

XDA also mentions as interesting the fact that in the past Huawei has tried to push its solution into AOSP. Since the new features in AOSP (Android with open source) are approved by Google, it did not pass for some reason.

Google wants one-handed control to be completed. Because its implementation affects all devices and all third-party applications. It will no longer be just a few dozen devices, as is the case with manufacturers and their superstructures. Therefore, you probably took time with this feature.
