Where does kiss day come from?
The National Kissing Day was in
Great Britain invented. From there it began its journey around the world as International Kissing Day. But the idea of celebrating the kiss is not that new. This day of action has existed since
July 6, 1990 and has been celebrated on this date annually ever since. During this period, the iron Lady Margaret Thatcher ruled Britain with a hard and conservative hand. The Day of the Kiss was intended to express protest against the strict moral standards.

Kisses around the world – these customs exist
The kissing customs differ quite strongly in different countries:
- In Austria, for example, kissing the hand was part of etiquette to homage to express to his female counterpart.
