Mayoi Signa are new collectibles in Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. You’ll find some of these early on, but what you need them for isn’t clear. In this guide, we’ll tell you where you can hand in the Mayoi Signa and how you can get the ghost set in return.

Find all Mayoi Signa

When you defeat a Mayoi, it leaves a Mayoi Sign. You can find such a mysterious toad in every cave in Hyrule. So you can collect a total of 147 Mayoi Signa. The following map gives you an overview of the cave entrances.

Trade Mayoi Signa with Koltin

In order to exchange the Mayoi Signa, you must complete a specific quest. Just north of the Forest Stable you’ll find Kilton standing in front of the cave at Lake Minsh. Talk to him to get the Find the Mayoi Sign episode. Kilton’s brother Koltin wants to become Satori and is therefore looking for the Mayoi Signa. To complete the quest, you must give Koltin a Mayoi Signum. If you don’t have one, you can get it from the cave at Lake Minsh. You will receive one as a reward Bokblin mask.

Where is Koltin?

Kilton and Koltin then disappear and you have to find Koltin again before you can trade more Mayoi Signa. Kilton can tell you where his brother is. Kilton goes to the city of Taburasa, which is east of Hyrule in Akkala. Talk to him there and he will tell you that his brother has a booth on a hill of Ulri Mountain. The hill is just a few meters east of the tower on Ulri Hill. Note, however, that Koltin appears only after sunset.

Ghost Set and all other rewards

At Koltin you can now exchange all your Mayoi Signa for valuable rewards. This includes monster masks as well as the rare ghost armor. Although there are 147 mayoi signa, you only need 46 pieces to get all the rewards. If you turn in all 147 Mayoi Signa, Koltin’s wish will be granted and he will become a Satori.
