Apple Reality will be presented next month
Apple’s most significant announcement at this year’s WWDC is likely to be Apple Reality. These are Apple’s first VR glasses, which have been rumored for years. So this year it’s finally here, because Apple will present the Apple Reality next month.

It was already known that the glasses will not become one for the general public. The Apple Reality is mainly intended for companies to use for streaming video content and for communication, such as video calling. There is therefore expected to be a hefty price tag on the glasses. New rumors now give a better idea of the price Apple pays for the Apple Reality and how much you will pay later.
That’s how much Apple pays for the VR glasses
According to a new report, it costs Apple around $1,400 to manufacture the VR glasses. If you include transportation, you come to about $1,600. The screens are the most expensive part of the Apple Reality, costing between $280 and $320 each. The VR glasses are expected to have two screens, which means that the price will rise quickly.
The Apple Reality is also equipped with fourteen cameras, which cost about $ 160 in total. Other technical aspects that are expected with the VR glasses are Apple’s M2 chip, 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage space and Bluetooth 5.3. These advanced features therefore ensure that Apple itself already pays a considerable price for the Apple Reality.
Apple Reality will cost $3,000
The big question is of course how much Apple will sell the glasses for. The Apple Reality is said to be priced at $3,000, which is probably slightly higher in euros. According to rumors, Apple previously planned to sell the glasses for $ 1500 to make Apple Reality more attractive to the general public. This plan was later scrapped.

If the Apple Reality does indeed get a price of $ 3,000, Apple will follow the same line as with previous pricing. For example, it costs Apple around $ 500 to manufacture the iPhone 14 Pro Max, but the iPhone is sold for € 1,249. The selling price is therefore usually about twice as high as the production price.

There is still disagreement within Apple itself about the VR glasses, for example, the Apple Reality development team would like to postpone the launch at WWDC again.
