Motorola has released a new version of its cheapest smartphone. The Moto E20 comes with the lighter Android Go operating system, and it has a large 6.5-inch screen. You can buy it from 99.99 euros.
Motorola Moto E20
We have known the Moto G series for years because of the devices from the low and middle segment, but for the absolute entry-level model you traditionally have to go to the Moto E devices. The Moto E20 has once again managed to serve as an affordable alternative.
First of all, the screen is very striking. Motorola uses a relatively large 6.5-inch LCD panel with a resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels, but it also has a 20:9 screen ratio which makes it slightly narrower than most phones.
Motorola opted, in its own words, because the device can then be used more easily with one hand. What is also striking about the design of the E20 is the U-shaped screen notch and the plastic back with the ridges. The phone has been given a water-repellent coating, according to the manufacturer, and it is IP52 water resistant. You will also find the fingerprint scanner on the back, and on the side is a button to activate the Google Assistant.

40 hours battery and Android 11 Go
The performance comes from a UNISOC T606 chipset, which is a 1.6 Ghz processor. Motorola placed it in the phone along with 2 GB of RAM and 32 GB of storage. You can also expand that storage via microSD. With such lighter specifications, Motorola naturally opts for Android 11 Go Edition. That’s a lighter operating system with custom apps, which require less storage and processing power.
The box comes with a 10-watt charger with which you can charge a 4,000 mAh battery. The E20 can last 40 hours on a single charge, according to Motorola. For the camera, the phone uses two lenses on the back. The 13MP sensor lays the foundation, but there’s also a 2MP depth camera that helps the phone take portrait photos. Those are photos with a blurred background. Motorola’s camera app also has a night function. At the front is a 5 MP selfie camera, and it can also take portrait photos.
