iPhone 14 Plus outsells iPhone 13 mini
Which is more popular: iPhone 13 mini or iPhone 14 Plus? Apple dropped its mini model with the iPhone 14s to instead offer a much larger model. The results are better this year according to new data.
Display Supply Chain Consultants (DSCC) revealed that shipments of the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 Plus were 59% higher than the 5.4-inch iPhone 13 mini in the same year-over-year period.
The iPhone 14 Plus is therefore doing better. However, sales of this model still lag far behind other phones in the range. For example, the iPhone 14 Pro represents 28% of panel shipments, where it is 25% for the iPhone 14. For its part, the iPhone 14 Plus has an 11% share.
Overall, the four iPhone 14s are slightly more popular than the previous lineup, with a 2% increase in screen shipments year-over-year from April. This would be explained in particular by the iPhone 14 Pro which are selling better than the iPhone 13 Pro. This compensates for the iPhone 14, which sold a little less well than the iPhone 13 in its day.
This year, Apple is to release four iPhone 15 models and it will be the same configuration as this year: a 6.1-inch standard model, a 6.7-inch Plus model, a 6.1-inch Pro model and a 6.7-inch Pro Max (Ultra?) model.
