Xiaomi 13: compact top smartphone
After Xiaomi officially presented its new top smartphones in China in mid-December 2022, Europe is now being conquered. The Xiaomi 13 is not too big with its 6.36 inch display and the angular design. Similarities to the iPhone cannot be denied. Nevertheless, the cell phone appears independent due to the flat camera section. The 120 Hz AMOLED display has a resolution of FHD+ and is very bright at up to 1,900 nits. This makes the Xiaomi 13 brighter than the Samsung Galaxy S23 (test). Xiaomi makes no compromises when it comes to further equipment. Furthermore, the smartphone is waterproof according to IP68 and has a 4,500 mAh battery that can be charged quickly with a cable at up to 67 watts. It’s wireless with 50 watts. Reverse wireless charging from other devices is supported with 10 watts. The operating system used is MIUI 14 and Android 13.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 ensures high performance, there is 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.
The highlight should undoubtedly be the 1 inch main camera with a resolution of 50 MP, which, in cooperation with Leica, should ensure great photos. There is also a 50 MP ultra wide angle and a 50 MP telephoto lens. This model is also waterproof according to IP68. The battery is slightly larger at 4,820 mAh and can also be charged faster with up to 120 watts. It is also wireless here with 50 watts. The back is made of ceramic.
Xiaomi 13 Pro: price and availability
The Xiaomi 13 Pro with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage is designed for 1,299 euros sold (look at Xiaomi). Here, too, the market launch will take place on March 8th and the same promotion applies to pre-orders.
Xiaomi 13 Lite for the middle class
The company wants to cover the middle class with the Xiaomi 13 Lite. This is equipped with a 6.55-inch AMOLED display rounded on the sides, which up to 1,000 nits bright can. It looks very classy and visually stands out from the Samsung Galaxy A54. The wide punch-hole camera, which is supposed to work like Apple’s Dynamic Island, is striking.
The processor used is the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1, which is accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. It has a 50 MP main camera and a super wide angle.
