Apple debauchery Manfred Harrer, a Porsche vice president specializing in chassis
Apple hired Manfred Harrer, a vice president of Porsche who specializes in chassis development. We can easily guess that he joined the iPhone manufacturer to work on the Apple Car.
According to Business Insider Germany, Manfred Harrer is considered one of the best engineers of the Volkswagen group (parent company of Porsche). He was notably at the head of chassis development at Porsche before supervising the Cayenne range at the manufacturer. He worked in the Volkswagen group for 13 years. His previous employers were BMW and Audi.
So Manfred Harrer now works at Apple. The fact that it specializes in chassis development further reinforces the idea that Apple is preparing its own car. There are a lot of rumors that have been circulating around Apple’s car for the past few weeks. The most recent was released just a few hours ago. It would be to use Hyundai’s electric platform as the basis for the Apple Car.
If we are to believe the rumors of the hallway, Apple will sign with Hyundai to assemble its Apple Car. Production of the car would have to wait at least until 2024. Will Manfred Harrer play a key role in the Apple Car with a design reminiscent of Porsches? Who knows.
