Motorola ThinkPhone costs 999.95 euros
Motorola’s ThinkPhone, unveiled earlier this month, has come with a price tag. The device is available for 999.95 euros and is available from now on. At least: the Lenovo store says that there is currently only 1 available.

Motorola’s ThinkPhone is mainly aimed at business use and the security of the device is an important factor. It is a brand new smartphone that can work better with parent company Lenovo’s laptop line, namely ThinkPad. But of course we could have taken that out of the name. That works with something called Think2Think, a feature that more closely intertwines Android and Windows. For example, the ThinkPhone not only works well with ThinkPads, but also with other computers that use Windows 10 or higher.
It works a bit like with Apple, for example: if you copy a piece of text on your iPhone, you can paste it on your iPad. Think2Think also makes it possible to work quickly on different devices in this way. In addition, you can use apps from your phone more easily within Windows. You can also use your smartphone’s webcam for video meetings on a laptop. That improves the image quality.

Focus on security
The security options include the Moto KeySafe chip, which stores sensitive data. The device runs on Android 13 and will be updated up to and including Android 16, which is quite an impressive duration. Security options do have a shorter time -remarkably enough-: they get you four years. They do come often: monthly for the first 3 years, with a security update every other month in the last year of security updates.
