Amazon raises minimum order value for free shipping
Amazon has increased the minimum order value for free delivery. Customers without a Prime subscription will have to shop for 39 instead of 29 euros in order to receive free shipping.
Rumors about a change in the minimum order value at Amazon were already circulating in mid-January. Accordingly, Amazon has raised its minimum order value for free shipping from 29 euros to 39 euros.
A short time later, the shipping giant changed its Shipping costs support page however again. After that, customers without a Prime subscription again had a minimum order value of 29 euros for free shipping.

In the meantime, Amazon has adjusted its overview of shipping costs again and changed the number from 29 to 39 euros. The increase in the minimum order value is now apparently a reality. Even if an official statement from the company is still pending.
However, the minimum order value still does not apply if the order contains a book or an audio book. It is the first increase in the minimum order value on Amazon in almost a decade. Because the group last raised the value in August 2014. Previously, the number was 20 euros.
The change only applies to Fulfillment by Amazon
However, orders that are sent directly by Marketplace dealers are not affected by the new regulation. Because the new minimum order value only applies to goods shipped by Amazon.
Marketplace dealers can decide for themselves on Amazon how they arrange the shipping or the shipping costs. But that only applies if you don’t use Amazon’s shipping service.
Minimum order value at Amazon: The shipping costs remain the same
There is good news, however Shipping. Because Amazon has not raised this. The costs for standard shipping remain at 2.99 euros.
This applies to software, video games and consoles, but also to Amazon devices and clothing. The delivery of products from all other categories is still 3.99 euros. Excluded from this, however, are further gradations, for example for forwarding deliveries or articles without youth release.
