Where the Samsung Galaxy A13 can count on updates for years to come, the successor has now been announced. We are now introduced to the new Samsung Galaxy A14, equipped with 5G.

In the affordable entry-level segment, Samsung has announced the new Samsung Galaxy A14. The smartphone manufacturer announces the device as the successor to the Samsung Galaxy A13, which was already a fairly complete device and is equipped with the basic necessities. This device was recently updated with the update to Android 13. Now it’s time for a successor, in the form of the Samsung Galaxy A14. The smartphone in question immediately received 5G, and is therefore fully prepared for the future.

The Samsung Galaxy A14 has been given a 6.6-inch Full-HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. That is a seriously good feature for a device in the entry-level segment. The smartphone from the Korean manufacturer comes on the market with an unspecified octa-core processor, 4GB of RAM and a storage space of 64GB or 128GB. You can expand the memory of the Galaxy A14 with a memory card.

There are three cameras on the back for taking pictures. These are a 50 megapixel main lens, a 2 megapixel macro and 2 megapixel depth lens. There is a 5000 mAh battery, which can be charged with 15W. The new Galaxy A14 5G comes with Android 13 and has One UI 5. You can choose from a mint green or silver color. A black color is also available. The color purple that we see in the photo does not come to the Netherlands as far as it seems.

The new phone may be released in the middle segment, but the update policy has also been thought of. The smartphone will receive two Android updates (Android 14 and Android 15) and four years of security updates.

Availability

Samsung announces that the device will be available in the Netherlands from mid-March. There is no information about the price. The 5G version of the Galaxy A13 is now at a price of around 220 euros. It is unknown whether the Galaxy A14 will also appear as a 4G version.
