Telegram rolls out massive December update: Here’s what’s new

At the last minute of the new year, Telegram has released a major update that gives you access to a lot of new features. We’ve listed the new features in Telegram 9.3.

A new update is ready for the Telegram messaging service. Telegram 9.3 is ready in the Google Play Store. As we are used to from Telegram, we can also expect a lot of new features with this update. That is certainly the case, because we see a few nice features again.

Spoiler, storage space and more

Telegram previously had the option to blur a message, so that you could, for example, hide a spoiler. In Telegram 9.3 it will also be possible to apply this for media files. This way you can blur a photo or video for someone else. This becomes visible when the recipient taps it. Another new feature is that you can manage media from your cache even more easily. This can be done by setting automatic deletion. New tabs like media, files, and music automatically show the largest files so you can free up space quickly.

You now have more editing options when editing photos. Think of new drawing and text tools. If someone else’s profile picture bothers you, you can now change it for yourself. This way you can give someone else a different photo. You can also make profile picture suggestions to others. With two taps, the other person can immediately add the suggested photo as their own profile photo. A new option in Telegram 9.3 is that you can now use a separate profile picture for your public profile.

Administrators of groups with more than 100 members can now give members more privacy by making the member list invisible. Furthermore, Telegram includes new progression animations, Premium users get more new animated emojis, and there are more interactive emojis, such as the snowman, nail polish, and more.
