Xiaomi presents new Redmi K60, K60E and K60 Pro
Three new smartphones have been announced by Xiaomi before the start of the new year. The manufacturer introduces you to the new Redmi K60 and the Redmi K60 Pro. In addition, there is also a Xiaomi Redmi K60E.
Xiaomi Redmi K60 series
Xiaomi’s Redmi series has been expanded with the K60 series models. This series consists of the Redmi K60, the Redmi K60 Pro and the Redmi K60E. To start right away with the ‘normal’ Redmi K60. This phone has a 6.67 inch AMOLED display with a 1440p resolution. There is a special cooling element to keep the phone from getting too hot. There is a 5500 mAh battery that you can charge with 67W. On the back is a triple camera with 64MP main lens. The Redmi K60 is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor.
Xiaomi Redmi K60 Pro
We see the high-end Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in the Xiaomi Redmi K60 Pro. The device has an AMOLED screen of 6.67 inches and it offers a 2K resolution. The new Auto Brightness 2.0 function should ensure that the device learns which brightness the user wants under which use. Equipped with improved object recognition and proprietary AI filters, the Redmi K60 Pro is equipped with a 50-megapixel main lens. The phone has a 5000 mAh battery with 120W charging and charging to 100 percent takes only 19 minutes. You can also charge the device wirelessly with 30W, possibly via the special charging station. Here too we see the special cooling solution.
Redmi K60E
It is not clear what the addition ‘E’ stands for in the Xiaomi Redmi K60E, but it is in any case the first device with this addition in the name. The device also has a 6.67 inch AMOLED screen with 1440p resolution (120Hz). There’s a 48 megapixel main camera, a 5500 mAh battery with 67W charging and a MediaTek 8200 chipset.
Availability
For now, the three Redmi K60 models have only been announced for the Chinese market. There is certainly a chance that we will see the devices under a different name in other regions. For the Chinese market, the starting prices are as follows; the Redmi K60E for 295 euros, the Pro model for 455 euros and the Redmi K60 for 335 euros. These are not representative prices for our market, as taxes and the like still influence the price here.
