E-cars could soon be that cheap

Not everyone can afford an electric car. This becomes a problem for car manufacturers, who tend to shine with cheap vehicles. But it shouldn’t be unsolvable, at least that’s what Skoda boss Klaus Zellmer thinks. According to him, the VW Group should have further plans to build a particularly cheap electric car.

Production costs for e-cars are still a challenge for manufacturers. It is difficult to push prices down to a level that is affordable for as many buyers as possible. But difficult does not mean impossible.
