Onyx updates to support macOS Ventura
Onyx is still around after so many years, with the utility updating to support macOS Ventura. Version 4.3.0 is available now for download and only supports the new operating system. If you have macOS Monterey for example, you must stay on version 4.2.5.
OnyX is a multifunction system utility for macOS. It allows to check the structure of the file system, to perform the main system maintenance operations, to configure the hidden settings of the Finder, Dock, Safari and several Apple applications, to delete a certain number of files and folders become cumbersome and much more.
There are Maintenance, Utilities, Files, Search, Settings and Information tabs. Each includes subsections to manage various settings that are normally hidden at the macOS level. The idea is to have an interface to take advantage of each option in a single utility. And a little bonus: the utility is developed by a French speaker (Joël Barrière).
Onyx is available for free download from this page. Be careful to download version 4.3 if you are using macOS Ventura. If you have another version of macOS installed, make sure you get the one that matches. Each version of Onyx is specific to a version of macOS.
