Samsung ceases rollout of Android 11 for the Galaxy S10 series
Samsung began rolling out Android 11 to the Galaxy S10 series mid-month. However, the distribution of the new Android version for the Galaxy S10, S10 + and S10e has now been halted.
Android 11 for Galaxy S10 series discontinued
The update to Android 11 for the devices from the Galaxy S10 series was rolled out a week ago in the Netherlands. Many will have already downloaded the update. Those who have not yet done so cannot do so now. Samsung has halted the rollout of the update because several issues have been found in Android 11 for the three smartphones. It is clear that the rollout of the Galaxy S10 Lite has not been halted. For that device, the update appeared on the last day of December and is a different software version.
Samsung itself has not officially responded, but on the basis of various messages on the internet a few things quickly become clear. Different owners of a device from the Galaxy S10 series face different problems. For example, the device would become very hot for some. In addition, users report with blurry photos.
Samsung will now work on a solution to resolve the issues. If you have a Galaxy S10 that already runs on Android 11, nothing will change. Samsung may soon roll out an update that fixes the problem.
