‘Every holiday I reserve a suitcase for my crochet stuff’
With a suitcase full of crochet stuff, Lesley’s holiday can’t go wrong. Even if it drives her husband crazy sometimes.
Lesley (30) is married to Alexander (36) and mother of Eva-Norah (4) and Olivier (1):
“Every holiday I reserve a suitcase exclusively for my crochet stuff. Wool, needles, books, patterns, I stuff it all full so that I don’t lack anything. Every free moment I pick up my crochet work. We often rent a house with a garden. The children play, my husband reads and I crochet. When my youngest is sleeping in the afternoon, I crochet next to him.
“The children play, my husband reads and I crochet”
My husband is crazy about all the loose threads he finds, on the couch, the dining table, everywhere. You can see where I’ve been. He cleans up diligently, I continue to crochet quietly.

challenge
Last year I came up with a challenge for myself: how much can I get from two balls of wool? After a lot of rattles, bags, baskets and bowls, my sister gave me another nice request: a bag for a wine bottle. I’ll be packing it in anyway this year, crocheted and all.”
