Microsoft releases Outlook Lite app for Android
Android is a new mail app richer. The developers of Microsoft have released Outlook Lite in the Google Play Store. With the new application you have access to your e-mail, calendar and contacts with a lightweight app.

For those who don’t want all the unnecessary hassle out of Outlook, or those with a less powerful smartphone, you can now download the Outlook Lite app from the Google Play Store.
As the name implies, the application is a lighter version of the normal Outlook app. This app is only 5MB in size. It has several advantages. Do you have an (older) device with less powerful hardware or do you want to save space on your more extensive smartphone. In particular, the application has been made suitable for Android Go devices that often have little working memory.
Microsoft highlights the benefits below;
- The Outlook environment you love – Outlook Lite has the core Outlook experience, including access to emails, calendar, contacts and more
- Small – Outlook Lite app has a download size of about 5 MB and uses extremely little storage space on your phone
- Fast – Optimized to run fast on all Android devices, including devices with 1 GB RAM
- Low battery usage – Demands less from your phone, saving your battery
- All Networks – Works well on all networks, including 2G and 3G networks worldwide
Microsoft Outlook Lite for Android supports Outlook.com, Hotmail, Live, MSN, Microsoft 365, and Exchange Online accounts. However, the application is not yet available for everyone to download. First, the app is available in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, India, Mexico, Peru, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey, and Venezuela. This may be expanded in the future.
