To the same holiday destination every year or not? This is what you think
While one person uses holidays to discover as many new places as possible, another prefers to return to the same holiday destination every year. How do you handle that? We asked with a statement on social media.
The answers vary.
The same holiday destination every year: yes or no?
- Ans: ‘Yes, but mainly because the daughter benefits a lot from it and we therefore also have a quieter holiday.’
- Mandy: ‘Yes, it’s nice not to have to keep trying to figure out how everything works. At the moment I find that wonderfully relaxed.’
- Nathalie: ‘No, stop! Terrible when your life is so predictable.’
- Karina: ‘Every year I think…. I would love to come back here. But we never actually do that. Yet always a different country/region.’
- Evelien: ‘No, preferably always discovering something new, very occasionally we go somewhere for a second time, but never more often.’

- Willeke: ‘Both! Change in the summer and the same in the spring!’
- Sam: ‘I just hated the idea of going to the same place twice. But with small children it is so different. They don’t think it’s boring to go to the same place, that’s a grown-up emotion that we put on them. In any case, I notice in mine that in places they know they are much easier to be themselves, feel safe and therefore experience much greater adventures. How boring.’
- Martine: ‘I prefer to discover something different every year. We went back to the same place once, but that was disappointing compared to the first time…’
- Linda: ‘Really never never.’
- Nathalie: ‘We did that as children too. Lots of security, familiar faces. Just nice.’
