New e-car from Mini should be something for real go-kart fans
With the concept car Aceman, Mini gives an insight into where the journey for the cult brand is going in the future. The result is an electric crossover in the classic mini style – although it appears rather large and modern. The purely electric drive should make it possible.

New Stromer from Mini: Aceman should pick up the Gamescom audience
There has never been anything like this at Mini: With the Aceman, the British cult brand from BMW is showing an electric car study that is intended to open up a new and, above all, future-oriented segment. According to the manufacturer BMW, the Aceman is classified in one Message, between the successful models Cooper and Countryman. He uses it to potential Customers who want a Mini – neither too small nor too big, but just right.
The e-car should be 4.05 m long, not necessarily big on the outside, but offer plenty of space inside. “This concept vehicle reflects how Mini is reinventing itself towards an all-electric future and what the brand stands for: a electrified go-kart feeling, an immersive digital experience and a strong focus on a minimal ecological footprint,” says Mini brand boss Stefanie Wurst.

While the technical details are still completely reserved, it is already clear to whom Mini is addressing the Aceman: the Stromer will be officially presented during Gamescom 2022. Young, digital and technology enthusiastic buyers are in mind who like things playful.
Inside, textiles will be used instead of leather, and customers will also have many options for personalization – the announcement also mentions driving modes. The features are apparently controlled by one central, round touch screen as well as by means of a classic toggle switch from Mini. We still have to see how many of the previously known plans will make it into the series model.
From small to big: electric crossover from Smart is faster
For Mini, the electric crossover model is a novelty. On the one hand, you want to counter the SUV trend, if not give in, at least something. On the other hand, the Aceman wants to stay true to the Mini brand, so it shouldn’t be too bulky. An idea that the segment competitor Smart already had. With the Smart #1, the result will be launched in China in 2022.
