NS app shows shared scooters and lets you try it for free

A new function is available in the NS app. The application of the Dutch Railways now shows shared scooters, where you temporarily receive a significant discount.

To make your door-to-door journey even more pleasant, the NS app has been expanded with a new function. From now on it can also show the sharing scooter in the application. Previously, for example, services such as the OV-fiets were added, so that you can go from the station to another address. The shared scooter has now also been added to this list.

These are Check shared scooters, which are currently available in nine cities. You can rent the e-scooter to travel to and from the station in the cities of Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Breda, The Hague, Amersfoort, Groningen, Enschede, Leeuwarden and Zwolle.

Try it for free

Travelers who create an account for the first time and reserve a scooter via the NS app at Check will receive up to 60 free driving minutes to try the e-scooter. Ten minutes before departure it is possible to reserve a scooter, so that you are sure of a scooter for your ride home, for example.

Booking and paying for a scooter is done via the Check app. In the NS app you can see the scooters under the option ‘Nearby’, where you can filter on the e-scooter. From next summer, business travelers will have the option to pay afterwards with the NS Business card.
