According to a representative survey by the industry association Bitkom, the number of vacant jobs for IT experts rose sharply in 2021. This number has only been higher once since the first survey.
Bitkom Research has been conducting a survey on the shortage of IT specialists on behalf of Bitkom since 2011. The results show that the IT skills shortage in Germany has not gotten any better since then – rather it has got worse.
