8 x nice free markets on King’s Day

Hurrah! After two years of King’s Day silence, we can finally go wild again. For a ‘new’ children’s bicycle, block box or puzzle, you can visit one of these nice free markets in the Netherlands on King’s Day.

1. Free market in Utrecht

In Utrecht, the flea market already starts on the evening before King’s Day, sharp at 6 p.m. The market ends the next day at 6pm. Throughout the city there are several children’s free markets where your offspring can sell things, make music or paint without being hindered by commercial stands or noise pollution.

3. Free market in Amsterdam

Early birds beware: in Amsterdam you can already be on the flea market from 06:00, although most officially only start at 09:00. The Amsterdam Vondelpark should of course not be missing from this list. Very child-friendly too, because the entire park is reserved for children who want to earn some extra pocket money. And the Vondelpark is not the only location that is kept free for children. You can also visit the Amstelveld, Rembrandtplein and the Erasmus Park. Music lovers can enjoy great bands and delicious food at almost all downtown locations.
