31 percent of readers type on a mechanical keyboard
Is it the luxurious look, is it the option to replace keys, or is it just the nice clicks? Many readers seem to use a mechanical keyboard. No less than 31 percent work on a computer that uses such a special keyboard.
The old-fashioned mainframe terminal feeling
bamibal is such a person: “I use a Ducky mechanical keyboard, with custom keycaps. For the old-fashioned mainframe terminal feeling.” 31 percent is a lot, but more people are still very satisfied with the keyboard on their laptop (or simply rely on it): 34 percent use it.
It is striking that cheap keyboards are not so popular: we seem to like to invest in something else: 13 percent use a cheap, normal keyboard, while 6 percent prefer a very compact variant. Also interesting: we apparently look for ergonomics more in our sitting posture than in our hand posture: only 5 percent opt for a split, ergonomic model.
AW Poll
After all, 11 percent go for a completely different answer, such as Eivissa, who has a very special keyboard. Eivissa: “My old keyboard still runs perfectly on solar energy (Logitech)“, some people don’t use a physical keyboard at all: Nobody for example: “I don’t use a keyboard. Haven’t had a PC/laptop in years. Do everything via my smartphone/tablet/shield.”
CubicNomad does, but it prefers to work in silence: “Logitech K470. Quiet keyboard which works wonderfully. 😋 Of course with a silent mouse from Logitech M650. 😃 Good combination. 😎👍🏻 ′′ It can indeed sometimes get hard with the tapping: we often make comments about that at the editorial office when we once again rattle together an article full of passion and speed a little too fanatically.
Also next week, because then we will type a nice new poll together. So are you there again? Until then!
