28 percent of readers listen to a podcast every day

Podcasts are popular, but it’s not for everyone: 48 percent of Androidworld readers don’t listen to podcasts at all. But at the same time it also appears that once you are a fan, you are a very big fan: 28 percent of the respondents indicate that they listen to a podcast every day. Ron.v, for example, is one such fanatic: “Every day for over 15 years.”

A podcast once a week

11 percent think that’s a bit much and listen once a week, which is not surprising: many podcasts appear once a week. 7 percent listens a few times a month and 5 percent listens very rarely: only once every six months if there’s a great series. Finally, 1 percent indicated that they would approach it differently.

In addition, we also received a lot of great recommendations. JackTDip lists a few bangers: At least two a week when I’m working out or doing something at home: WAN Show by Linus Tech Tips, Waveform Podcast by Marques Brownlee and StarTalk by Neil deGrasse Tyson.” Khalid is a somewhat classic podcast listener, who clearly loves the extremely popular true crime genre. Khalid: “National Park after dark, morbid, case file.”

AW Poll

glass blower only started two years ago, but immediately started listening very enthusiastically: “The podcasts that I often listen to include Boekestijn & De Wit, Het Oog, Tweakers, Androidworld, Jort cast, Parool Misdaad Podcast, The World of Sophie, Really Happened, Early Birds.”

The Androidworld podcast, good choice, maybe we should make more episodes of that! Let us know in the comments what you want to hear from us in a podcast. Thanks for participating in the AW Poll this week (and the good podcast tips!) and we’ll fire another question at you next week, see you then!
