‘2021 iPhone is called iPhone 13, gets four models, appears in September’

It seems that Apple has no problem with the image of ‘unlucky number’ 13. According to a new rumor, the Cupertino company does not shy away from this figure when determining the iPhone 13 name.

‘iPhone 13 name set by Apple’

That says Economic Daily News, which sources say they have within the manufacturing process of the latest iPhones. Currently, the final touches are being made to assemble the necessary parts before mass production begins. This shows that Apple wants to market the 2021 iPhones as the iPhone 13, iPhone 13 Pro, iPhone 13 Pro Max and iPhone 13 mini.

It seems that the era of the ‘S version’ of iPhones has finally come to an end. A few years ago, Apple released an S variant of an iPhone every other year, with less groundbreaking innovations. Since the iPhone XS, however, the company has dropped this and simply a model with a higher number appears every year.

Initially, it was thought that Apple would still switch to the iPhone 12S this year, because the improvements are relatively small this year. This makes the screen cutout smaller, 5G connection better and MagSafe charger more powerful. The appearance remains largely unchanged, which has been a reason for Apple in the past to put an S after the name.

‘Traditional release in September’

The sources of Economic Daily News also confirm the rumors that the entire iPhone 13 series will traditionally be announced in September. The release will probably follow in the course of October. With that, the iPhone returns to its traditional schedule this year, after an exceptional year in 2020.
