18% of readers have July update on phone

Many Androidworld readers are quite up-to-date with their device updates: 47 percent have the June update on their smartphone. However, it is now July already. 18 percent of readers have already installed the July update and have it on their phone.

Phone updates

It is not necessarily up to the reader that there is no July update on the phone: after all, you depend on manufacturers. In addition, there are manufacturers that do not release an update every month, but only once a quarter. For example, Fighter reports that his Nokia is still on an update from 2021 (!). December, that is. fighter “December 2021. This will never get better thanks to Nokia’s good care.” Claudia indicates what we all think: howling.

Updates are not only nice because they come with new possibilities for your smartphone, or just a different look, they often also make phones safer. There is of course a difference between security updates and operating system updates, but both are very important for your phone to work properly. Especially because there are also all kinds of apps from different makers.

AW Poll

However, Tukker also has the latest update from December 2021. However, this is not a matter of a negligent manufacturer. @tukker: “Still on November 2021 because I don’t want Android 12. 😂 Doesn’t look good, don’t find it useful. Running here on the Pixel 3a and OnePlus has made it even worse for the 9pro. I’m waiting for 13 and hope OnePlus is back on track by then. “

Furthermore, many people with a Samsung have the latest update on it. Probably those people also take care of ie 18 percent who already have a July update. Furthermore, the poll shows that another 18 percent are still on the May 2022 update. 8 percent will stick to March/April 2022 for a while and 3 percent will stick to January/February 2022. 3 percent are still alive in terms of updates in 2021 and 2 percent even in 2020 (!).

The only update we have for you is that we’ll be back next week with a new AW Poll. Until then!
