iPhone SE 2022: all the innovations

Tuesday evening kicks off the first Apple event of 2022, in which Apple makes several product reveals. One of the most important is the announcement of the new iPhone SE 2022.

Because various Apple insiders are given all kinds of information and release it, a lot is already known about the new entry-level iPhone from Apple. Below we reveal the innovations of the iPhone SE 2022:

1. The iPhone SE will be announced during the Peek Performance event from March 8.
2. He has an LCD again4.7-inch screen†
3. The format is again 138.4 x 67.3 x 7.3 millimeters† This makes it slightly larger than the iPhone 13 mini, but smaller than the ‘regular’ iPhone 13.
4. You still unlock it with your finger: Touch ID†
5. It design is the same as with its predecessor. So there is a glass front and back. The device also has strong edges around the screen, with a large ‘chin’ at the bottom.
6. There will be a new save option: 256GB† In addition, the iPhone SE is available in the existing 64 and 128 GB options.
7. The iPhone SE gets 5G support† It concerns both support for the fast mmWave and Sub-6GHz.
8. Color options: white, black and red† The current iPhone SE is also available in these versions.
9. Processor: A15 Bionic chip† This makes the iPhone SE 2022 just as powerful as the iPhone 13 (Pro).
10. The price is probably 489 euros† That is considerably cheaper than the cheapest iPhone 13 model, which costs 809 euros.
11. There is again only a camera on the backside. The lens will probably stay the same. Still, we can expect better camera performance thanks to the faster processor.
