Nokia 5.3, 2.1, and 2.2 are updated with August security update

Nokia has released a new update for the Nokia 5.3, 2.2 and 2.1. The manufacturer is now rolling out the August update for the three devices in the Netherlands.

HMD Global didn’t exactly show their best side with the update policy in recent months. Due to changed processes and requirements, devices sometimes lagged behind in receiving updates for months, according to inquiries by DroidApp. The smartphone manufacturer would turn the tide from July and it seems more and more that this is indeed happening.

August security update is now being rolled out for three Nokias. This is the most recent update available for Android. The update is now available in our country for the Nokia 5.3, the Nokia 2.2 and finally the Nokia 2.1. As far as is known, no further adjustments or changes will be made with this update. The Nokia 5.3 was already equipped with the Android 11 update in our country last week, and Jan, Theo and Richard now let you know that the new security update is also available.

Incidentally, it seems that this is the last update for the Nokia 2.1. This smartphone appeared in August 2018 and would receive updates for a period of three years. Unless Nokia decides otherwise, the August update is the last update for the Nokia 2.1. When the update is available for your smartphone, you will receive a notification on your device.
