Fresh design for new Apple Watch

If we are to believe the rumors, 2021 will be a big year for the Apple Watch. According to Ming-Chi Kuo, an authority on Apple rumors, the successor to the Series 6 will get a new design.

The new smartwatch would move more in the direction of the iPhone 12 in terms of design. What should you imagine? An angular watch case with upright edges and a screen that lies ‘flat’ on the case.

The back of the watch is also less flat than the front, because otherwise the wearing comfort would deteriorate considerably. Jon Prosser, another Apple insider, has already released images of the suspected design of the Apple Watch Series 7.

Furthermore, it seems that the new smartwatch will be bigger than its predecessors. Leaked photos show that Apple is working on watches with case sizes of 41 and 45 millimeters. In comparison, the current Series 6 is available in a 40- and 44-millimeter version. New watch faces are also being added to the Watch Series 7 for this.

Colors and screen

In which colors the Apple Watch Series 7 will appear is still a bit unclear. Rumors indicate that at least a green version will appear.

Apple is rumored to be using a new screen technology for the Watch. That is good news for the design of the Series 7, because it can make the screen edges smaller. This allows you to enjoy relatively more screen surface without the housing growing with it. In fact, thanks to the new screen technology, the Series 7 would even be slightly thinner than its predecessors.
