Your Huawei may soon receive a beta version of EMUI 12
Not so long ago, Huawei introduced its own HarmonyOS operating system to the world, so far only available for Chinese versions of its devices. However, the manufacturer is still thinking about smartphones sold outside the domestic market and is slowly preparing to update several models on EMUI 12. The novelty was brought by the Android Community portal.
Earlier this month, he launched global beta testing for owners of the Mate 40 Pro, P40, P40 Pro, P40 Pro Plus, Mate 30 Pro models. Users from Russia and East Asia were initially given the opportunity to sign up for the EMUI 12 beta program, but now the program is also opening up to some European countries. The release of the stable version is planned for the beginning of 2022.

The update will also receive several models from the Huawei Nova and Y series – Nova 7, Nova 7 SE, Nova 7i, Nova 5t, Nova 4 / 4E, Y9 Prime 2019, Y9s and Y8p.
What will EMUI 12 bring?
EMUI 12 is still a superstructure built on the Android operating system, but it will also bring several features from HarmonyOS. The goal of the new version of the superstructure is to bring improved cooperation between multiple devices, better performance and greater emphasis on privacy. It also offers nicer animations and a new control panel, with which you can easily get not only the most frequently used settings, but also, for example, the ability to easily transfer video from a smartphone to a smart screen.
