Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd are no longer just popular food discounters. Especially online you will also find all kinds of devices, from household to technology such as TVs and smartphones to furniture or equipment for the garden. Customers of the Aldi online shop now have to dig deeper into their pockets.
Update October 8, 2022: As planned, Aldi has activated the change. This means that the times when Aldi included the shipping costs in the purchase price are history. But not only that: Strictly speaking Aldi is introducing a kind of hidden price increase for all products in the online range. If the discounter has previously borne the delivery costs, they are now billed directly to the customer. Standard items cost 4.95 euros in the delivery (per order), bulky items 9.95 euros. If items are delivered by a forwarding agent, an extra 29.95 euros will be charged:

Aldi introduces separate shipping costs in the online shop
If you don’t want to stand in line for the latest bargains from Aldi or if you can’t make it in time before everything is sold out again, you have the chance to switch to the online shop. There is no longer any separation between Aldi Nord and Aldi Süd on the Internet. Almost exactly one year to the day after the merger there is now a major change.
It affects them Shipping. As Aldi has informed us, they will no longer be included in the purchase price in the online shop shown individually. Instead of a total price, you will see the purchase price plus shipping costs for the respective items and on your invoice – and you will also have to pay. The change is scheduled to take effect on October 4, 2022.
The discounter has further announced that the Shipping costs may differ in the future depending on the item and the type of delivery. So you should expect that larger devices, such as a TV, will cost you more to ship than smaller ones.

Does Aldi raise the prices with the shipping costs?
