You can now also edit photos and videos in WhatsApp Web with emojis and texts

You can edit your photos and videos in WhatsApp before sending them. Previously, this was only possible on mobile, but WhatsApp has now also added the creative options to the web and desktop version.

Get creative with WhatsApp Web

WhatsApp for Android or iOS lets you edit photos, videos and gifs with emojis, texts and drawings before sending them. This is now also possible on your laptop or PC because WhatsApp is rolling out an update for its desktop application and web application.

How to add emoji and more to photos and videos

To get started with the creative tools in WhatsApp Web, you need the latest version. So make sure you have the latest version or click on one of the links at the bottom of this article. Then you can get started as follows:

1. Open WhatsApp Web and open a chat
2. Click the paper clip and then the camera or photos or videos to add a photo, video or gif
3. The new toolbar at the top lets you add emoji, stickers, text, drawings and crop the file

The options are similar to those on mobile, only the text options are much more extensive. You can adjust the font and alignment on desktop and add a background. There is also a button to undo the last action because we all make mistakes. The new tools may not be earth-shattering, but they are very useful if you want to quickly send a screenshot with some explanation or send a photo with funny emoji. And on a larger screen, that works just a little better than on your phone.
