Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro are slowly getting Android 11

Surely you know that we really liked the Xiaomi Mi 10T model line in the editorial office. We are more focused on the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro smartphone, which, given its price, can really do a lot. However, it came with a version of the Android 10 operating system, along with the MIUI 12 extension. Therefore, the owners of these phones will certainly be pleased that the update to Android 11 is already on the way.

Android 11 is gradually aimed at users of two smartphones from the Xiaomi Mi 10T series

The GizmoChina web portal reports the availability of an update on Android 11 for the Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro models in India. Both devices have a practically identical system, but in terms of hardware they are not the same.

But we could expect an update at the same time. The Chinese version of the Mi 10T smartphone with the name Redmi K30S Ultra is included in the beta program of testing the latest Android 11. Therefore, it is possible that the version without the addition of “Pro” will be updated a little earlier, but in our opinion the difference will be really negligible.

The Indian versions of this pair of phones have received an update with the firmware designation V12.1.1.0.RJDINXM. This is the so-called “Stable Beta” edition, which is currently available to a more limited number of owners in this country. In the coming weeks, however, the update could reach other countries around the world, including ours. We certainly expect such high-end smartphones as the Xiaomi Mi 10T and Mi 10T Pro to receive updates on a regular basis.

How are other competing manufacturers doing and updating?

The competition is quite good with the update to Android 11 in most cases, but there are also manufacturers who have not yet released the latest mobile operating system for their devices. These include, for example, OnePlus, which planned an update for its “seven” series at the end of last year. However, phones have not yet been updated.

On the contrary, Samsung is great, updating its mobile phones very quickly and regularly. Xiaomi and Redmi alone, along with Motorola, are not in a bad position. The latter company updates the devices really regularly, but Motorola moto g pro is only now the first smartphone from the company’s workshop to receive Android 11. Perhaps it will improve in the near future.
