Xbox Series X | S gets a practical feature that you know from your smartphone

All members of the Xbox Insider Program can look forward to an update that gives their next-gen consoles a new function. Many gamers should already be familiar with this practical feature from their smartphone.

Night mode for Xbox Series X | S: Microsoft releases new insider update

If you want to have access to new console functions and content for your Xbox Series X | S before all other players, you should definitely do it sign up for the Xbox Insider Program. In this way, you will receive updates for your devices in advance, which sometimes contain interesting innovations.

The last insider update for the Xbox Series X | S also brought a new feature: the night mode. After the installation, the players have access to a new menu item in the settings, which is particularly interesting for night owls.

The night mode settings allow you, among other things, the Dim the brightness of your screen or to activate a blue light filter and regulate its strength. That can happen sometimes have a positive effect on the quality of your sleepif you play mainly in the evenings and at night. HDR content can also be deactivated directly via night mode.

But with the night mode you can not only influence your television or screen, the Xbox LED lights on your controller and on the console can also be darkened thanks to the new feature. You can determine how much the brightness should be reduced in the menu.

The night mode is not a novelty in the world of technology. PC gamers are likely to have become acquainted with the function under Windows 10 – but above all, smartphone users will already know and sometimes appreciate the feature.
